Stephen Lewellis

Graduate Student, Developmental Genetics
BS Biology, Haverford College
Email:
Faculty Mentor: Holger Knaut, Ph.D.

Steve had his first significant research experience in an immunology lab studying T cell development. At NYU, he continued in immunology initially but has recently discovered an interest in developmental genetics, a field that he seldom fancied in the past. In his free time, Steve enjoys reading, practicing yoga, playing ultimate frisbee, rooting passionately but in vain for Philadelphia sports teams, befriending dogs of all flavors, and cooking. If he hadn’t pursued research and medicine, Steve would have been a chef (that’s what my grandmother always said) or a canine favoring male counterpart to those curious cat ladies.
