Melissa's inherently inquisitive nature inspired her to study biology and philosophy in college, and eventually led her to NYU to make a career out of asking and answering questions. She has always been particularly fascinated with the mysterious complexity of the nervous system and the development of a complete organism from the information contained in a single cell. When not at the bench, Melissa enjoys reading, running and exploring the city.
